Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility, improving profitability
Project 390 is a Social Enterprise in which 'large' commercial businesses sub-contract various functions of their operation to Vine Social Enterprises. |
| The model of Project 390 has been developed to engage hard to employ young people in a real work experience situation which meets the demands of a commercial partner contract. To deliver these contracts Vine Social Enterprises recruit an experienced supervisory team to operate within the commercial partner's business. We then place teams of work experience trainees with our supervisors to deliver the contract. All training and Health & Safety is provided by Vine Social Enterprises in conjunction with our partner. |
This concept was originally created through a partnership with international furniture retailer, IKEA. The name 'Project 390' was chosen as IKEA use the term '390' to identify designated stock which is damaged but potentially able to be recovered. In the same way, our young people have experienced difficulties and situations which may have left them damaged, but our ethos is to recover these lives and equip them to ultimately become employable.
To date Vine Social Enterprises have provided a range of services including, shopping tool management, recovery, replenishment and customer assistance. We have operated in 3 IKEA stores to date - Wednesbury, Wembley and Cardiff. |
